The Munro Letters

Transcription

Oakville, Mar 14/15Dear Gordon;Everyone but myself is at church so thought I would write you. Ethel Thornton and three of the Grices got the measles from Ethel and are sick now. Goldie has erysipalis and is pretty sick. Wib left for Regina last Wednesday. Don Davis is home sick with pneumonia and chances are pretty slim for him getting over it. He had mumps but wouldn't give in he was sick because he was coming home next day. but that night he was a sentry and he caught cold and the mumps went down. Father goes on his holidays this week and I think he and Charlie Masson will be in Georgetown Wednesday. They are going by train.I was at Evans for tea last Sunday night and was at Fords with Spa & Norma Wed. You'd almost think Spa and Inez were going to be married next week. Evans broke their car yesterday. They were going up the hill at brick yard pretty fast and had to slow down for a rig ahead. When they were changing gear they ripped it and had to be towed home. Mother only had three in her class today and almost all the kids in town have measles. In Miss Langtry's room there are only eight out of sixty seven.SincerelyEd.
