Seaford
Dec. 1st 1918.

Dear Mother,
Just a few lines to let you know that I am coming home very soon now. I may not be many days behind this letter but don't know for certain yet when I will be home. We leave Seaford to-morrow or the next day and I don't know if we are going straight to Canada or not. At any rate I expect to be home in a month and may be in time to have my Christmas dinner in Oakville. Howard French is here and is going back too so I will not be all alone. He has risen to the dizzy heights of a

Corporal. We are all taking full equipment back with us including tin hat. The infantry fellows all take rifles, but we do not.
Well, here's hoping I get back to Oakville by Christmas.
