July 26th

Dear Mother,

I have your letter dated June 30th, one from Ed dated June 30th and one from Bill dated July 3rd where she tells me about going to some museum.

I got the box with the cake and syrup in a few days ago and yesterday I got the one with the watch and flour. The tin ticker works pretty well and the pancakes were a regular treat. That shirt just came at the right time because the shirt I got from the bath the other day was lousy. I had almost forgotten what chocolates tasted like, I got the box with the honey and butter in and it was not spoiled or damaged a bit. Not a single cell of the honey was broken. I got a box from Grace Pyrie the other day so am not doing too badly. We are in the line just now and not having a bad time of it. We are the same place as we were last time I wrote.

Ed seems to have had quite a time getting a place to camp. How is he getting along with the girls. Bill must have had quite a time at the museum. She sent me a bunch of postcards of it. A few days ago Rick O'Reilly came to see me at the horse lines but of course I was not there. When I went out for a bath I went to see him but of course he had moved. I have not seen Brock for a long time.

I have run dry now so will have to quit.
