The Munro Letters

Transcription

We are about 2 miles from here; go down nearly every eveningDear Pork. -Sahoom! Hope you passed your exams. Shorncliffe is some place. There are about 30000 or more soldiers here. The camps are miles long. I don't know how far. There is a camp on a hill about a mile behind our lines where Caesar entrenched himself as described in the latin. There are three lines of trenches, around the top of the hill, just as plain as ever. Don't know when we leave here, working hard. Remember me to everybody.G. B. C.
