The Munro Letters

Transcription

Oakville, OntarioMar 31/15Dear Gug:-How is everything? I have been trying to get back tomorrow but it doesn't look very promising. Doc Stead says "nothing doing" but he is in love too, so his opinion is about as valuable as Putsy's. Say Gug, how would you like to transferr to the University Artillery,Second Contingent with Bill Gibson and all the rest of the College Bums? Jim thinks he might get us on, perhaps in the Ammunition Column, which means we would get into the Artillery the first vacancy. Of course we would have to get permission from Pepall but that should not be difficult with Dad to back us up. It would great to get into the Second Contingent, might go any time. The University Bunch are at Ottawa now and we would have to go there at once. Write me what you think of it as soon as possible and I will let Jim know. I will be back by Sat. or at the latest Mon. or bust something. In the mean time Au revoirYours sincerelyG. B. Chisholm
