Robert Jackson purchased this property from William Chisholm in 1857. Robert was born in England approximately 1831. His wife, Mary was born in Wales approximately 1830. The 1871 Census of Canada reports that they had at that time three children, Sarah (age 12); Mary A. (age 10); and Robenia(?) (age 6). They sold the home in 1882 to Elizabeth Ann Davis, a widow.
