The house was built in 1860.

Details

William Baker (1800-1869) worked as a butcher and a fruit farmer. His first house was at 55 Navy Street.

He and his wife, Phoebe Baker, immigrated from Ireland in 1834, with their eight children.

In 1860, WIlliam and his wife moved to 76 Chancery Lane, where they lived until William's death nine years later.
