363 Spruce Street

Description

363 Spruce Street was developed in 1910, and bought in 1924 by Henry C. Taylor and his wife, Marie Louise Taylor.

Details

The lot was purchased by Henry C. Taylor, a commercial traveller, and wife Marie Louise Taylor on 30 Apr. 1924. This is in the area known as Tuxedo Park. Development started in 1910.

It was bought from George Fish who was a house builder according to the tax assessment records.

In 1923, the house is listed in the tax assessment roll as "N.F" (Not Finished) and the 1924 roll states that there is a house located on the property.

According to the 1921 census, Henry Taylor was born in Ontario in 1868 and was married to Marie. They had two children named Victoria and Banfield. At this time, they were renting a house on Gloucester Ave. before purchasing 363 Spruce St.

On 11 January, 1940 they were issued a Certificate of Order of Foreclosure and lost the house.
