My Dearest Minnie.

Just a few lines to say I received your letter safely to day and thanks dear ever so much for it. I haven't written before as I have been waiting for my pictures to get finished. The badges aren't finished yet dear but as soon as it is I will send it on with out delay. 

We were innoculated to day as a prevention against fever and it was a very nice sensation for a minute or so, but I don't want any more for awhile. 

What did your new maid say when she found out that her beau, had only borrowed a uniform for a day, but she wants to get after him and make him join. Do you know if Bertha and Ruth got those badges I sent last week. I haven't heard whether they have or not yet.  

It has been nearly raining here all day but it has kept of so far, and looks like freezing again. We had a hockey game last night and our boys were beaten for the first time by two goals but the ice was like a pond and they got wet through if they fell over. 

I am going down for the pictures after they come in off parade so will enclose one or two, perhaps four then you can give one to the the three girls, but don't criticise them too much as they never make a good picture of me. I think I told you before that our sergeant had his stripes taken away, well one of our fellows wanted them and another fellow got the job of acting sergeant, so of course there was a sort of a scrap between them, and as we favored the one that got them we soon made the other one look like a nickel. 

Well dear one I dont think there is any more news to say now so will close now with fondest love from yours ever loving.
