France, Sunday March 25th¹

My Darling Minnie,

Your long looked for letter arrived safely yesterday, am glad to hear you are still well and having a fairly good time, I suppose you are looking forward to spring weather again now, we are getting rather better weather here now, although it is still cold at nights, but we are hoping the weather will stay fine, as we hope to be back home by the fall, or be in time to take my holidays with you. 

I had a letter from Ruth yesterday also a picture of her, she was saying it was too bad I couldn't be home in time for her wedding, but never mind there will be lots of time to go another wedding won't there dear, which will be as good as hers, and will be as important too, won't it. I guess the parade for returned heroes was rather interesting, and no doubt it made some people happy to see their boys marching, after doing their bit, but never let them make you feel down-hearted as it won't be long before the bunch will be home, and that will be the greatest day in Toronto for a while, as so many will be going back there.

Where do you intend going for your holiday this summer, I suppose you will be spending a week in Oakville, again, Really Girlie, there is not much to say so will have to close, will write again Wednesday so bye bye, heaps of love and kisses,
