My Own Darling Minnie.

Just a few lines to let you know I'm still O.K. and feeling fine. Well Dear, this has been my fourth Xmas with the army, and I'm glad it's the last one away from you, as I missed you something terribly yesterday, and I went to the pictures all by myself, and I was just thinking of you all the time, and was thinking how nice it would have been to have had you with me, but it won't be long now dearie before I'm back with the only girl in the world, and we will make up for all the lost time, won't we dear. I stayed in camp yesterday, and was reading most of the time, but some or most of the fellows in this hut were down town, and by what they are talking about now, they must of had a pretty drunken time of it, but I won't  say more about it, as I know you don't care to hear about that sort of doings, do you dear. But I’m just longing to be back with you, and then every thing will be alright, and I’ve lots to tell you dear when I get back, and we will be by ourselves most of the time won't we, as I‘m afraid I’m going to be selfish, and want you all to my self, but we can settle that when I get home. I hear they are sending lots of men home from the Depot  and I hope they send me back as soon as I get to my reserves Depot at Bramshott.  Well Minnie dear, there isn't more to say this time so will close, trusting this reaches my Dearest girl in the best of health, with heaps of love and kisses, ever your truest lover,
