Just received your letter, and was glad to hear from you, and sincerely hope that by now, my dearest girl is feeling better.

Well lover, I’m sorry to say that Mr. [Brock? Broad?] will be unable to marry us on the 18^th as he is going away till the 17th and said if we could wait for him to come back he would only be to glad to marry us.

But you know sweetheart I don’t want to put it off one day, so we will have to make other arrangements. So perhaps one of your brothers could see the minister that is at Woodhouse Church next Sunday, or would you have courage enough, to see if he could do it for us. I would come my self but I'll be so busy next Saturday in Hamilton, but if you think it necessary for me to come, why I'll only be too glad to come, but try and get it arranged without me being there if possible. 

All I hope is that we don’t have to postpone the date. 

Well love, its not long now is it; and I’m just longing for it to be all over so that I can have you all to myself for always, but my one object will be to make you as happy as possible and will always treat you as the best and dearest girl in the world. 

I have a whole lot of aluminum here now, and only need a few more to complete it for you. Well truest and dearest, there isn't more to say this time, so will close for tonight, with heaps of love hugs and great- big kisses, ever your truest and ever loving
