I received your letter safely this morning and was very pleased to hear from my little nurse once again. Well this is  Christmas eve in barracks and I have not been on parade today as most of the A.M.C men are on leave except two and us two will be down in only a few days now dear. 

I had a letter from Ruth and she didn't say any thing about meeting me at the station so I guess she was only teasing you, but if I get my pass Wednesday I will be down on that train that leaves here at half past twelve Thursday noon only don't tell her as I will write and tell her to expect me down Friday it will be a good joke won't it. 

Well I think I will go skating tonight as the ice is lovely and its freezing pretty good. 

I am glad Hilda liked her pickle dish, I thought it was about as useful as anything I could get I haven't heard from her yet but I guess I'll get a letter from her today as I have had one from Christie in Montreal one from Ruth and two from home and yours, the last of them all, and they are all looking forward to seeing me at new years, and I'm looking forward to taking you down too. 

Now I finish as I have just  stopped, went down and had a shower bath and a shave and nearly cut my mustache off but thought I would leave it on. That dentist must think you have lots of money to charge 32.00 $ that seems quite a bit but its better than having tooth ache all night, but how would you & care for me to send some cash down next month to help my dearest one out, as I want you to have a good time. 

Well dearest I guess I will close now and I still count the days till I come down but dear it, will soon be here and  if I come on that twelve train I will phone you up as soon as I get there and if it is the five fifteen why I will come straight up but I will write again on Sunday or Monday and will let you know latter the exact time of my leaving.
