Dear Mother,
Since I last wrote I have not got any mail from home. We are out of quarantine now and I am going on leave to Ireland to-morrow. I will see Brock to-morrow afternoon in London if everything goes well and we leave London at about 8:30 P.M. I am not sorry to be leaving Epsom because it is absolutely dead but I sure have had a good rest.
I will get my picture taken while on leave and send it as soon as possible. I will be going to the 3rd C.C.D. at Seaford and from there to the M.G. Depot and by the time the war will be over.
I will write from Ireland and tell you all about it.
Love to all,
Your Loving Son,
Melville.
